By combining wellbeing and sustainability into a single concept, we have adopted a simple, structured and codified approach of eight wellbeing pillars encouraging a life of collective action and personal fulfilment in and outside work.

Associate Satisfaction & Happiness

Our management approach extends beyond the service chain, to enhance wellbeing through diversity, satisfaction, health, safety, and welfare.

Associate satisfaction is measured biannually through a formal survey comprising 60 questions addressing communication, empowerment, leadership, rewards and benefits, team work, commitment, motivation, career development, fairness, performance management, and supervision.

Associate Health & Wellbeing

To improve physical and mental wellbeing of associates, we offer weekly wellbeing and health tips in six languages to associates worldwide via a dedicated app, including tele-therapy sessions and an internal learning revolution to promote resilience, self-awareness and self-care.

Associate Development - Spa Academy

Launched in 2001, Banyan Tree Spa Academy develops people to promote gender equality and combat poverty, while benchmarking standards and practices.

Accredited by Thailand’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Public Health, the academy elevates the status of therapists in the spa industry, providing both a profession and career development.

Associate Development - BTMA

Banyan Tree Management Academy was established in 2008 to support our organisational goals through advancement of people, management excellence, and learning with integrity and meaning.

Located in Phuket, Thailand, BTMA trains future Banyan Tree leaders to sustain organisational effectiveness and meet the demands of our rapid global growth.
